Heartland Harvest Vineyard & Winery was established in 2006, the result of friends gathering one evening over a few bottles of wine made by winemaker and owner Mike Pence. Kathy and Mike wanted a business that they could enjoy the outdoors and being with family and friends. The increased interest in grapes and wine seemed to be the answer they were looking for. "Everyone that comes thru our doors want to hear our story and leave as friends."
The day to day operations of the vineyard & winery are overseen by Kathy and Mike Pence. Most of the time you will find the Pences at the winery and are always happy to stop what they are doing and visit and answer questions. At other times you may find other members of the family working at the winery to includes Sherrie Pence and Terry Caldwell whom help out with all parts of the winery or Kathy and Mike's children, their daughter Emily and her fiance, Joe or Zachary and his wife Katie. (Katie is the one expecting with our first grandchild!)
